I love to write, capture emotion through photographs, prosecute federal environmental crimes, and more than anything, be with my family, friends, and dogs.  I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2011 two weeks after my 40th birthday and a routine mammogram.  I endured a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and a total hysterectomy.  More recently I underwent a total restorative proctocolectomy in August 2013.  I will do anything to fight for this life and my health!  Thank you for sharing the journey with me through my blog.
